Neil Peart of Rush provides an in-depth discussion of his approach to drum soloing. Using "Der Trommler, " a solo recorded September 2004 in Frankfurt, Germany as his example, Neil talks about each segment of the solo, describing the inspiration and concept behind each, then demonstrates the techniques necessary for playing the solo.
