Description
With the desire to improve their lives, the men of Huajuan de Leon emigrate without realizing that they are destroying that which they want to save; their families. This the story of Diamantina and Araceli, two young women from the Oaxacan Mixtec who watch their men, Santiago and Macario, leave for the north in search of a better life. A generational story about patriarchal society, the power of community and family and the role of women who become the head of the family.
