Description
No community along the Gulf Coast was hit harder by the 2010 British Petroleum oil disaster than Grand Isle, Louisiana, a blue-collar fishing village perched on a spit of sand 50 miles south of New Orleans. The beach community was right in the path of the disaster's toxic crude and deadly chemical dispersants. This island community has been forced to come to terms with the worst man-made ecological disaster in United States history. DVD also includes an interview with environmental lawyer, Polly Higgins, who hopes to implement an international ecocide law making ecocide the fifth international crime against peace, seeing is as a 'crime against the earth'.
