Portfolios are unbound and consist of a paper wrapper, title page, note to subscribers page, and a numbered page of descriptive text corresponding to each flower print. Part 1 also contains an announcement describing the planned scope of the state flower series and an index. Flower print plates are laid in.
Description
Linocuts of state flowers and text pages are printed in one or more colors on Hodamura, a handmade Japanese paper. The portfolio cover is a wrapper made with heavy Toyama paper.
