Description
Sixteen-year-old Mary Swan Middletown is devastated when her artistic mother is killed in a plane crash. The family maid, seeing Mary's loneliness and desperation, suggests she volunteer to help the poor at a church downtown. Among those she meets is Carl Matthews, a devout young man who has likewise experienced many tragedies in his life. As she helps people less fortunate than she, Mary begins to realize there is more to life and love than she ever knew. She also begins to see that she must come to terms with her relationship with God--and turn her life over to Him.
