Billy is a former professional football player and present-day sheriff in his hometown, Rustin, Alabama. Billy maintains the enviable role of local celebrity and perennial charmer until the arrival of a troubled teenage girl claiming to be his daughter. She forces him to confront not only his past, but also the hypocrisy his life has become.
